We are proud to announce that UNESCO MGIEP has chosen the winner of The Gaming Challenge and Pocket Scientists received the honor to develop their pilot game.

The competition had 3 rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Round 3) and in the final one a playable prototype had to be submitted. We chose a difficult goal, as we intended to show that casual fun and the educational aspect could work well together in a Mobile Game.

We are eager to start development with UNESCO MGIEP’s close contribution. We like the concept of educating through mobile games and are very happy to be one of the pioneers.

World Rescue is due to be released in the middle of 2016. Stay tuned for upcoming news on the development.

This one follows the popular story of escaping. But the jungle, the surroundings and a lot of other things officially changed. This game is not just a simple follow-up, but like a big movie based on a previous movie, an adventure, that bests the first one, it’s another exciting amazonian mission in the jungle flying with a blue bird. And all is in very nice 3D for all casual and hardcore players too!

For popular demand we incorporated some new elements, it’s for the best of all of the players around. And again we can only dream, that one day something makes a movie about the 3D adventures of our blue birds and you’ll get some official merchandise of Escape from Rio in your preferred and popular fast food restaurant.
Some birds are angry, others are not so – our birds just want to follow the famous escape from Rio to the jungle playing with the best of the best: YOU! And please don’t be angry if you don’t succeed at first – it needs more, than 2 tries to escape to the jungle.

The whoooosh is very popular for that, all the birdies are waiting the end of the day to go and rally home in an organized manner to the best of the fun.

The rules are simple – birds joining the game are waiting in line the competition begins. The start to fly home, but the challenge is simple – the color of the houses changes! So they need to fly but wait until they gate your own color. It’s really a simple game, but birds not matching color end the game and then all the whoooosh ends in disaster. Further they go, better the result in this competition – the higher position on the leaderboard makes this birds happy to play this really simple, but very popular free game in the forest,

Some parents want to stop this popular competition, want to end the challenge to destroy the leaderboards. They say, that going home before sunset must be not a game, must be a simple thing – just flight home and don’t compete. In a world, far, far away, called Rio Grande… Peaceful birds lived in their towers working and having fun. Everything seemed to be quiet, nobody was angry. All lived in peace and happiness.

But one day a special jewel got unearthed. It was big, wonderful, but it got an evil twist, that nobody recognized. The ones staring at this jewel more, than 5 minutes become angry. And they wanted to possess it, they think about it every time getting more and more angry. The world of Rio Grande turned to be twisted, happiness was gone, The towers, the foundations of the old society was in danger. The towers needed a defender!

The angry ones were coming, and they attacked. They thought, that they find their Jewel god in the towers of other birds. Common birds begun to call them „Flappy” – they wasn’t flying normally, they just flap around in their angry vision, and then landed on a branch to begin an attack. The birds in the towers were defending. They needed match 3 lesser jewels to chase the angry flappy away giving them the illusion of their Jewel god.

Maybe all birds (angry and tower-dwelling) look, like a cartoon, but the conflict was real. Without matching 3 lesser jewels there was no salvation for the tower defending ones against the angry ones.

You must restore Rio Grande to it’s former glory, destroying the flappy, angry Jewel god believers, defending the towers with their match 3 strategies. It will be quite a challenge, I tell you!. Flappy noises are disturbing the best match 3 strategists, even the most beautiful jewels can fail you in case even in Rio Grande. Cartoon world or not – this is a true story, at least in Rio Grande where Jewel god has flappy winged enthusiasts and followers…. You only weapon is the match 3, use it wisely and you can svae your cartoon friends!
